  Staying at nearby Carden Park but didn't fancy their high end prices. Called in to the sandstone instead and really glad we did - a very warm welcome, staff were lovely. Generous portions of well cooked pub grub, the best fish and chips I've had in a long time and very tasty puds! Would definitely call again! Thanks

  We were a party of 7 and ate at the Sandstone last evening
  the starters were ok but the main courses were dreadful
  the turkey dinners were swimming in gravy and 2 of the other
  meals they didn't bring the vegetables.
  When we received our bill,they had overcharged us for the
  wine and beers !!
  We were also cold in the conservatory,when we booked at the
  beginning of November they said we would have the table by
  the fire.
  We definitely won't be eating there again

  Great food and service. Not fast on a Sunday but friendly so no problem. Dog and boot friendly. Ale on great form. Shame there was none from the Sandstone brewery on offer on my visit.
